Welcome to the website of Christchurch Priory, Eltham. A Roman Catholic Parish situated at the edge of South East London in the Greenwich Deanery part of the Archdiocese of Southwark, it is a lively parish served by priests of the Order of Canons Regular of Eltham and has many groups with plenty of activities to get involved. We are blessed with two thriving parish schools: St Mary’s primary school and St Thomas More secondary school.

Thanks should go to our great international team of fifteen volunteers who provide displays all year and are in demand for weddings especially.

We wish parishioners and visitors to the website a happy and blessed New Year.

The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord on Monday 8th January 2018 marks the end of Christmastide.

However, the message of Christmas continues. One important aspect is the message of the Christmas crib. These shouldn’t be packed away yet and can remain up until the feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple on the 2nd February. The feast occurs on this date because it is 40 days after Christmas giving us time for the Christmas story to sink into our hearts, as we see in visual form what we read in the gospel passages of Matthew and Luke.

Our parish crib will remain in the lobby of the Parish Hall. Please continue to visit and adore.

This site contains useful information for parishioners, non-parishioners and those who have left the parish but who like to keep in touch. If you are new to the parish, or indeed have been a parishioner for some time but haven't really made yourself known yet, have a look at the parish groups section of the website to see what you could get involved in. We would be delighted to hear from you.

Recently Bishop Patrick Lynch ss.cc made a visitation to our parish. If you would like to read his report, click here.

We hope you enjoy visiting our website
